Monsters of Rock!
OK, for some strange reason I stumbled over this while bored at work. I googled Oedipus Records (I can't believe I had never done this), but aside from web stores and record reviews there appears to be a comic book centered around Oedipus Records signing a band made up of monsters... here's a brief synopsis
"Big time music label Oedipus Records has a problem. The big craze in music is bands made up of monsters, but every band they concoct goes horribly wrong- visiting mindless destruction on expensive stage equipment, not to mention the money-laden fans! Their solution? A band made of actors pretending to be monsters! Unfortunately, when one of Oedipus' representatives mistakenly signs four real monsters to the label, she unwittingly causes major problems for Oedipus- and its stressed-out lawyers! Now it's up to the Monsters' manager to work around the band's quirks and forge them into a successful act with as few casualties as possible! A hilarious one-shot!"
